Maintenance And Repair Knowhow

Thermal Sprayed Metals

Thermal sprayed metals are a great alternative to galvanising involve a process where molten or semi-molten metallic particles are sprayed onto a substrate using a thermal spray gun. This method offers exceptional versatility in coating various surfaces, enhancing their properties. Commonly used metals include Aluminium and Zinc (TSA / TSZ)

Thermal sprayed metal coatings provide corrosion resistance, wear protection, and improved mechanical properties, extending the lifespan of components in industries such as automotive, aerospace, and manufacturing. The technique also allows for precise thickness control, making it a preferred choice for applications requiring specific coating thicknesses to meet engineering specifications and performance requirements.

Low heat during application ensures no thermal distortion of thin material fabrications, and TSA/TSZ is also great for electrical conductivity, used in instrumentation contact point

Thermal Sprayed Coatings are the only coating systems recognised by International and European Standards EN ISO 14713 as giving greater than 20 years to first maintenance in very aggressive environments.
